Providence High School junior softball player Laura Hay has been named the
Architech Sports and Physical Therapyissue250Laura Hay Student Athlete of the Week. The 16 year
old daughter of Stuart and Paula Hay plays the middle infield and third base
positions for the Panthers and her travel team, the NC Rockers. Last season Laura
was named as an All-District Player and won the Golden Glove Award for Providence.

Laura has a busy summer planned with seven tournaments and a trip to Iceland with
her family. She is looking forward to moving into her senior year at Providence. After
an outstanding junior season for the Panthers, Laura will be counted on to help
Providence continue to improve on the softball field.

Inside the classroom, Laura is an All-American with a 4.76 grade point average and she
has been a consistent member of the A Honor Roll. She enjoys the Science classes, specifically
Environmental Science and Physics. Congratulations to Laura Hay, the Architech Sports
