Marvin Ridge High School senior tennis player Chris Graveline has been named
the Architech Sports and Physical Therapyissue250graveline Student Athlete of the Week. The son
of Marc and Oana Graveline began playing tennis in the 7th grade and worked himself
to the top of the high school ladder. Chris was a member of the state championship
team his sophomore year and was named First-Team All-State this season. Chris relied
on his strong serve to become one of the top players in the area.

Chris is an outstanding student with a 5.1 grade point average. He is a National Merit
Scholarship Finalist, an AP Scholar with Distinction and a member of the National
Honor Society. He also is a part of Christ Cadets, serving underclassmen by leading
bible studies and hanging out with them. Next season, Chris will attend Virginia Tech University.

Chris strongly believes his participation in sports taught him the value of perseverance
and hard work. “This has helped me succeed on the tennis court as well as in the classroom
and when working a job.” Congratulations to Chris Graveline for being named the
