Anna Daniels Wins Carefree Boats Rising Star Award

Convent Day School freshman, Anna Daniels, has
been named the recipient of the Carefree Boats Rising
Star Award. The 14 year old daughter of Chris and
Jennifer Daniels has made a big impact in her first year
on the team. She has been named to the CISAA All
Conference team during her freshman season. Along with
teammate McKinley Riley, Anna was also one of the
first players from the school named to the All-State team.
The freshman Lion enjoys
competing in both singles and doubles matches. Her
favorite part of the team is the sisterhood and camaraderie
connected with her teammates.
Off the court, Anna has been involved with the Special
Olympics for three years. She is also involved in Seek the
City, a week long camp at Christ Covenant Church which
reaches out to the Matthews area to host Vacation Bible
School, and a sports camp. Inside the classroom, Anna
is dedicated to success. She has continuously made A’s
and B’s throughout her middle school and high school
career. The freshman also hopes to study physical therapy
