Lauren Good

Cuthbertson High School golfer, Lauren Good, has been named the Queen City Audio, Video and Appliances Community Heroes
Award Winner. The daughter of Todd and April Good began playing golf in May 2014 after attending a local PGA Pro-Am with her
father. She was moved by PGA pro Ricky Fowler and her father to begin playing golf. Last season, Lauren was named the Most
Improved Player at Cuthbertson and has now become a solid contributor to the Cavaliers team.
Off the golf course, Lauren is very active in her community and with her church. She participates in community service projects year
round. Lauren traveled to Scotland, PA this past summer for a mission trip that helped to rebuild homes for people who can’t afford
the repairs, elderly, or people who are disabled. This past year, she volunteered at a local equestrian center where she helped manage
the facility and take care of the horses. Lauren also volunteered for over 20 hours. at the Horse Protection Society in China Grove, NC.
She also traveled to Bluefield, West Virginia for another mission trip where they gave school supplies to the children who lived in the
local town.
Inside the classroom, Lauren is a 4.0 student and is active in the FFA (Future Farmers of America), S.A.V.E. club (Students Against
Violence Everywhere), FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), and Student Council.
