Ardrey Kell Student Wins Shoeless Enterprises Leadership Award
Recent Ardrey Kell High School graduate Maeve Healy has been named the winner of the Shoeless Enterprises Leadership Award. The 18 year old daughter of Chris and Mara Healy completed a successful lacrosse career for the Knights, playing the attack position. Maeve will attend school and play lacrosse for Belmont Abbey this fall.
While at Ardrey Kell, Maeve provided strong leadership for the lacrosse team, serving as a team captain in both her junior and senior seasons. Maeve worked very hard with other leaders to increase team moral and to set an example of hard work at every practice.
Maeve worked very hard to earn the opportunity to continue her lacrosse career into college. A connection with Belmont Abbey Coach Jen Flaherty led to a school visit and then commitment to what Maeve felt was the “perfect” school for her. Maeve liked the size of the school and the way the team supported one another on and off the field. She has worked hard this summer to prepare for college play and is ready to begin at Belmont Abbey.
Inside the classroom Maeve is an A/B Honor Roll student and has done well in honors courses at Ardrey Kell. She has worked very hard to find a balance between lacrosse and her academic commitments. With high school in the rear view window Maeve now will take the lessons learned here at home to Belmont Abbey and continue her pursuit of success.
Congratulations to Maeve Healy for winning the Shoeless Enterprises Leadership Award.
