Providence Day School to dedicate new wrestling facility this week

Charlotte, NC – Monday, October 20, 2014 – On Wednesday, October 22, Providence Day will dedicate its new wrestling training center located in the Ridenhour Gymnasium on the school’s campus. The newly renovated space will be named the Tadeo-Racano-Burnam Wrestling Training Center in honor of Head Coach Terry Tadeo and assistant coaches Tommy Racano and Paul Burnam. The naming of the facility after the three coaches is recognition for their many years of hard work and dedication to the Charger wrestling program and the student-athletes of Providence Day.

The newly renovated space creates a permanent, self-contained wrestling area with a state of the art mat lifting system that will elevate the wrestling program to new heights. The reconfigured space will also benefit physical education students during the school day and open up practice areas for other sport programs and student-athletes after school hours.

The dedication ceremony will take place Wednesday, October 22, at 5:00 PM and will be led by Head of School Dr. Glyn Cowlishaw, Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement Jeffrey Appel, and Director of Athletics Nancy Beatty.
