Covenant Day School senior runner Abby Traywick has been named the Architech Sports and Physical Therapy Student Athlete of the Week.  The 17 year old daughter of Phillip and Daphne Traywick is one of the leaders for the Lions Cross Country Team this fall.   After tearing her ACL in the eighth grade, Abby fought back through many hours of physical therapy to become an improved runner and an even better person.


Abby has competed for Covenant Day from 2008-2014 and serves as team captain the last two years, helping her team to conference titles in 2010, 2012 and 2013, while winning All-Conference Honors.  Abby has also competed with the track team from 2008-2014 and she won the Coaches Award in 2010 and was named All-Conference in 2013.


Inside the classroom, Abby carries a  grade point average of 4.06 weighted and 3.34 unweighted .  She is a member of the National Honor Society, National Beta Club and has won awards in the National Latin Exam, National Mythology Exam and Latin Creative Writing Contests.  Abby is active in Christ Covenant Ministries and has served for many years in the Seek The City Summer Neighborhood Missions Project.    Abby plans to study Agriculture and is looking at Warren Wilson College and Clemson University among others.  Congratulations to Abby Traywick for being named the Architech Sports and Physical Therapy Student-Athlete of the Week.
