COMMUNITY HOUSE SOFTBALL TEAM WRAPS UP AN UNDEFEATED SEASON

These girls can play!  For the second year in a row, the Southern Conference Softball Trophy has landed at Community House Middle School.  Last season the Cavaliers captured the title with a 13-1 record, this year, they erased the one blemish on their loss to go 13-0.  Head Coach Danielle Laudone has the privilege of working with so many dedicated softball players.  Along with her assistant Greg Lutz, they led the Cavaliers through a schedule where every team brought their A game to play the Cavaliers.

“I attribute most of the success of the team to, hard-work, discipline, and dedication from both the players and coaches,” said Coach Laudone.  “The girls bring a lot of talent to work with, but without a dedicated and truly committed coaching staff this could not be accomplished! When the girls fail, we as coaches fail with them. When the girls win, we have all done our job! Most of these girls not only play on the school team during the season, but local travel and rec leagues as well.  As you can tell by that statement, these are a group of committed and highly motivated players! Without this kind of motivation, and want to strive to be number one, even the best coaching of these girls could not produce these results! We are a team, and a family...we know each other as more than just players and coaches...that is our driving force!”
Leading the way on the pitching mound this season were Shelby Hitchcock and Sam Kegley.  Other leading hitters and defensive standouts included; Sarah Thornburg, Erin Powers, Allie Gans, Sarah Golke, Jessey Haasl, Fawn Segars and Sydney Eaker.

Congratulations to the Cavaliers for their outstanding season!
