Cuthbertson High School junior golfer Lizzie Hordes has been named the Architect Sports and Physical Therapy Student-Athlete of the Week.   The daughter of Michael Hordes and Andrea Carl began playing golf after her 8th grade year during a visit to see her grandparents in Florida.  Her grandfather taught her the importance of putting and a good swing.  Since that visit, golf has become a passion for Lizzie.

Lizzie dropped her average 11 swings in one season and is now playing to a 44 with a best match score of 39.   She is ranked third in her conference and is looking forward to improving even more before her senior year.  Lizzie works hard on her mental game and never dwells on poor shots, she is always focused on what is next on the course.

Inside the classroom, Lizzie is a 3.9 student and enrolled in AP Calculus, Honors English, Honors Chemistry, and Honors American History. She hopes to continue her education and golf career in college following graduation in 2016.   Congratulations to Lizzie Hordes for being named the Architect Sports and Physical Therapy Student-Athlete of the Week.
