Jack Wicker Wins Good Sport of the Week Award
Charlotte Catholic High School baseball player Jack Wicker has been named the P. Saylor Fence / Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools Good Sport of the Week. The son of Tom and Beth Wicker plays pitcher and first base for the Cougars. Jack has been playing baseball since early childhood and enjoys the fact that many of his current teammates are friends than he began playing the game with.
Jack is working very hard to become bigger, faster and stronger under the leadership of his showcase baseball coach Leland Maddox at Team Carolina Baseball. “I enjoy the challenge of trying to better myself.”
By making a big commitment to his goals, Jack would like to one day play college baseball. “I know I have to continue to work however I can see myself doing that one day, if that’s Gods plan.”
Jack has a huge heart for helping underprivileged kids. He enjoys looking for ways to help others that may not have their own baseball glove or bat or are in need of food and clothes. Congratulations to Jack Wicker for being named the P. Saylor Fence / Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools Good Sport of the Week.
