Cuthbertson High School junior baseball player Cameron Robertsissue227roberts
has been named the winner of the Carefree Boats Rising Star
of the Week Award. The son of Brent and Connie Roberts began
playing baseball at a very early age and has worked his way into
being one of the top players in the area. Cameron has also earned
a spot on the South Charlotte Panthers showcase baseball
team for the summer.

Cameron’s pitching has been a key part of the success
for the Cavaliers in going 16-1 to open the season.
Cameron has pitched 40 innings with 64 strikeouts and
only five walks allowed. He carries a .34 earned run
average on the season. Cameron works hard to hold
the opposing team to minimal runs and give the Cavs
a chance for victory. Cameron hopes his success of
the high school season and a strong summer with the
South Charlotte Panthers will lead to college baseball
opportunities.

Cameron also does his part in the classroom, he carries
a 3.9 grade point average. He is enrolled in many
honors level classes as well. Congratulations to Cameron
Roberts for being chosen for the Carefree Boats
Rising Star of the Week Award.
