Chris Cotton Named Architech Sports and Physical Therapy Student Athlete of the Week
Covenant Day School senior, Chris Cotton, has been
named the Architech Sports and Physical Therapy Student-
Athlete of the Week. The 18 year old son of Mike
and Ellen Cotton plays shortstop and pitcher for the varsity
Lions baseball team. As team captain, he leads his
younger teammates by his example on and off the field.
In his senior season, Chris will be enjoying each game of
the season and hopes the Lions will receive a bid to play
in the state tournament. In addition, he hopes to become
an all-conference and all-state player. Last year he was
named Team MVP and was also chosen as team captain.
Inside the classroom, Chris has attained a 4.4 grade
point average. He is also a member of the National
Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society.
In addition, Chris also volunteers each summer to teach young kids the basic fundamentals
of the game during the Covenant Day Baseball Camp. He also is an active volunteer
for Home Works, which renovates old homes for the needy people of our community.
Congratulations to Chris Cotton for being named the Architech Sports and Physical Therapy
Student-Athlete of the Week.
