Emmie Farish Wins Community Heores Award
Charlotte Christian School junior soccer player Emmie Farish has been named the Queen City Audio, Video and Appliances Community Heroes Award Winner. The 17 year old daughter of Paul and Dale Farish serves as the Co-Captain of the Knights Soccer Team. Emmie is a leader for her team and believes in the theme of the squad, “Strength Through Encouragement.” She enjoys playing the game with her twin sister, Ellie and calls her a great player, leader and a hard worker.
Emmie is very active in helping to serve her community and the world. She has been on two missions trips to the Dominican Republic and to Costa Rica. She serves locally with Seek the City in Charlotte and also works a Vacation Bible School in Detroit Michigan in the summer. This summer, Ellie plans to serve the needy in Washington, DC.
Inside the classroom, Emmie is an excellent student with a 3.75 grade point average. She is a member of the Health Careers Club, Art in Action, Spanish Club and Young Life. As she begins to prepare for college, Emmie wants to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine.
