Maddie Boigner Wins Student Athlete Award
Marvin Ridge High School senior softball player Maddie Boigner has been named the Architect Sports and Physical Therapy Student Athlete of the Week. Maddie is the 18 year old daughter of Arnie and Dana Boigner. She is a four year varsity player for Marvin Ridge and earned All-Conference, All-District and All-State Honors last season.
Maddie serves as a team captain this year and helps the younger girls adjust to the varsity team. She has helped the Mavericks to a 10-2 start this year and the team has a goal of winning a state championship at the end of the year. With a lot of strong wins this season, the Mavericks are among the favorites to compete for a title. Maddie is currently batting over .400 and has a perfect fielding percentage for the season.
Inside the classroom, Maddie has a 4.3 grade point average and has earned multiple academic letters at Marvin Ridge. Next season she will attend UNCC. Congratulations to Maddie Boigner for being named the Architect Sports and Physical Therapy Student Athlete of the Week.
