THANK YOU FOR NINE YEARS

Wow! It’s so hard to think back to nine years ago and the start of the South Charlotte Sports Report. While I don’t know that we ever have a true understanding of the path we take in life, I know that back then, I didn’t know what I was going to do after publishing that first issue. Thankfully nine years and 208 issues later, the South Charlotte Sports Report is still rolling along and has grown into so many different outlets. While the newspaper is and always will be the backbone of the business, it has allowed me to build a wonderful youth sports photography company, develop over a dozen youth sports events and given me the opportunity to make so many new friends. While it has never been the financial windfall that many would hope for, it has kept me occupied for nine years and hopefully allowed me to make an impact on a few kids and families in the community.

I am often asked the true reason why I do this and continue to march forward. I keep coming back to the same answer.

I want the best for kids. I want them to reach their goals, whatever they may be. I want them to make good decisions and not have to live with repercussions of making a bad decision that changes their life. I want kids to do well in school and on their own field of play, whatever that field may be. It doesn’t have to be a sport, I want kids to succeed at whatever platform they choose outside of school. With nine years under my belt now, nothing makes me happier in business than to hear about kids that once graced these pages doing well in their adult lives. It also crushes me to hear stories of kids that have gotten off track and have paid for it with legal issues or even loss of life.

Hopefully I have been good for the South Charlotte community. The South Charlotte community has been good for me. I am so blessed to have the support of the advertisers you see in these pages. Without them, I can promise you I would never be able to produce this newspaper. They are the life blood of the South Charlotte Sports Report and I ask you to please give them the opportunity to earn your business. I would also ask all my readers to please assist me in finding a few more companies that would like to market their products to the active families of South Charlotte. If your company or a company you know of is looking for an affordable advertising outlet that reaches across so many platforms, the South Charlotte Sports Report is a great option. Please feel free to always contact me at 704-906-5466 or email Tripp@southcharlottesports.com

On behalf of my family, I want to thank all of you that have provided support over the last nine years. If I can ever help you in any way, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Thank you South Charlotte.
