Lauren Ellis Named Student Athlete of the Week
Providence High School junior soccer player Lauren Ellis has been named the Architech Sports and Physical Therapy Student Athlete of the Week. The 16 year old daughter of Mike and Lisa Ellis has been playing soccer since the age of four. All that soccer experience led to Lauren having the opportunity to make a college soccer commitment to the University of Louisville this past November. Lauren plays center back now after playing center midfield for a majority of her soccer career.
Last season Lauren was named to the All-State team after helping the Panthers to an undefeated conference championship. An overtime goal by Lauren allowed Providence to stay undefeated last year in a 1-0 win. Lauren and her teammates, including younger sister Mady, are aiming for a state title this spring.
Inside the classroom, Lauren is a 4.2 student and she is enrolled in one AP and four honors classes. She is also a member of the Key Club and Mosaic Club at Providence. Congratulations to Laurent Ellis for being named the Architech Sports and Physical Therapy Student Athlete of the Week.
