Team Carolina 14U Baseball Wins Nations Baseball Team of Excellence Award
Consistency. Loyalty. Hard Work. Performance. Each of these qualities can be seamlessly attributed to one of South Charlotte’s most successful, long-running club baseball organizations, Team Carolina 14u. Launched originally as a 9u team for the Spring 2009 season, becoming Team Carolina’s very first team overall, TC 14u has consistently delivered for Coach Leland Maddox and Jeff Jerman. Since their inception, as they have navigated from Select to Elite to Premier level status, TC 14u has achieved incredible results on the field including, Winning 179 games in 5 years including gold level or better championships in 10 plus tournaments across each group since 9U. The TC 14u team originated with 8 core players that have been playing together since 2006 as 6u ball players at South Charlotte Recreation Association. Coach Maddox has added players to round out the team. The current TC team is a highly competitive travel baseball organization.
On Saturday January 24th, Team Carolina 14U was honored at the 8th Annual Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League Dinner as the Nations Baseball Team of Excellence. This special award is given by Crystal Carolina Sports to honor a team that has achieved success over a long period of time. Team Carolina has long lived up the ideals of Nations Baseball and performed well on and off the field of play,
Team Carolina 14u includes: John Pittman, Garrett Sullivan, Brandon Johnson, Connor Downing , Zach Weston, Will Jeffries, Reid Ziomek, Jakob Cohn, Xavier Cumbee, Jack Wicker, Zane Sullivan, Sam Kagan.
