2012 NYC Half MararthonI first heard of Alana Hadley when she was around 9 or 10 years old. Like a lot of emails I get, someone was telling me how special of an athlete she was and how I needed to watch out for her. A few years ago I realized how right they were as Alana began to rack up awards and honors.
Yesterday in Indianapolis Indiana, Alana reached another milestone as she was the top female finisher in the Monumental Marathon with a time of 2:38:34, a course record!
Alana had already qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials before yesterday. Yesterday was just another step in the road to Olympic success in her life.
The South Charlotte Sports Report continues to wish Alana the very best as she continues the road to reaching all of her goals. We can’t wait to see what is next Alana!
