Metrolina Christian School senior volleyball player Sarah Workman has been named the Architech Sports and Physical Therapy Student Athlete of the Week.  The daughter of David and Peggy Workman started all four years of her high school career and was named MVP of her team just last week.

Sarah’s favorite memory of the season was playing a five game match against Gaston Day, “I had pneumonia at the time and could barely speak, so the games were a tad bit more exhausting for me. However, pushing through in the 5th match, the team and I made some successful digs and some tips, giving us a few points lead. We now had 14 points, and with the set soaring to me I successfully made a kill right by the 10 foot line to end the match. The celebration after that was incredible.”

Sarah is a very successful student with a 4.3 grade point average and she is dual enrolled at South Piedmont Community College.  She is a member of the National Honor Society.  Sarah plans to major in Exercise Science with a minor in Photography and then move on to Physical Therapy for Graduate School.  Congratulations to Sarah Workman for being named the Architech Sports and Physical Therapy Student Athlete of the Week.
