issue189VanSickleCharlotte Christian football player Jackson VanSickle has been named the Architech Sports and Physical Therapy Student-Athlete of the Week.  Jackson, one of the top kickers in the area, has been a steady force for the Knights football team this season.  Jackson’s leg strength and accuracy has attracted the attention of many college coaches.

Jackson has grown up playing football at many different positions.  Upon arrival in high school he began to narrow his focus to the kicking position and has since found great success.  Jackson has attended many national events and been ranked by many recruiting services.  Last season he was named to the NCISAA All-State Team and he also earned All-Conference honors for head coach Jason Estep.   Jackson and his teammates won the State Championship last season and are looking to repeat again this year.

Jackson has proved to be accurate and consistent with his kicks from 50 yards and has hit field goals in the 60 yard range during practice.  He works with some of the top coaches in the country including his Charlotte Christian Kicking Coach, former NFL kicker John Kasay.    Inside the classroom, Jackson is a strong student and is working hard to prepare for college after his senior season.  Congratulations to Jackson VanSickle for being named the Architech Sports and Physical Therapy Student-Athlete of the Week.
